In
the year 1972-1973, resolution for the building of secondary school was made. The P.N.R. (Philippine National Railways) donated
a piece of land wherein the Maulawin Secondary School is now established through the help of Brgy. Captain Leonardo Baje and
his Councilmen; Mr. Tomas Castro, Mr. Zoilo Cabuloy, Mr. Rogel Rabi, Mr. Aning Dominguez, Mr. Hector Velasco, and Mr. Lino
Aisporna. It was Brgy. Captain Leonardo Baje who devoted much of his time to make this project possible and it was in the
year 1973 when the permit was awarded by the DECS. People behind the success were the following: Mrs. Mechado, Mr. Antonio
P. Llamas and five teachers who were as follows: Mrs. Emma S. Velasco, Mrs. Helen G. Limnuaco, Mrs. Dolores L. Rana, Mrs.
Corazon L. Caballes, and Mrs. Connie Fabella. The school started with four classrooms. The students were composed of 150 for
the 1st and 2nd year of operation. The school fund was raised through the help of the people living in Brgy. Maulawin and
from the payment given by the students as tuition fee. Mr. Eulalio S. Arcena was the first PTA president followed by Mr. Tirso
F. Velasco. In the year 1976-1977, the first commencement exercises was held at the Mayac Sports Center, Maulawin, Pagsanjan,
Laguna with 38 students participating in the graduation rites. As the years went by, the population of the school increased.
In the year 1991-1992, the population was 764. A Memorandum of Agreement(MOA) was signed by Dr. Josefina V. Pampolina (Schools
Division Superintendent) and Mr. Hernan F. Velasco (FBMS PTA President) wherein 6,000 sq. m. of land, part of the PTA ground
in Brgy. San Isidro was to be used by MNHS. It was signed in the presence of Mrs. Remedios Garcia (Principal-FBMS) and Dr.
Adoracion N. Capunitan (Dist. Supervisor) on May. 4, 1990. In August 18, 1992, the SEPD building was approved and construction
of the building was awarded to Posadas and Moya ass. Constraction Inc. of 59 Stanford St. Quezon, City. The SEPD building
became the annex of Maulawin Nat’l HS. First years and some section of fourth year are now using the annex. With the
pre-fabricated building and some constructed buildings (together with the two storey building), the MNHS was transferred to
the annex. It has also its new stage and it continue growing. The possibility of these buildings was also created to the efforts
of the school principal, Mrs. Isabelita S. Mahupil. In June 2006 through the PTCA’s resolution and by the majority decision
of the Sanguniang Bayan ng Pagsanjan, Maulawin National High School is now called PAGSANJAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, through
the efforts of the Mrs. Jeannette D. Deleon the school principal during that time and the PTCA headed by their president Mr.
Ricardo Villafranca. Mrs. Jeannette D. Deleon was succeeded by Mrs. Erma S. Valenzuela who spearheaded the transformation
of the school into a more competitive school in the area in 2006-2009. She became a leading institution in the English Department
thus she was promoted as Education Supervisor in English in DepEd Laguna. She then succeeded by Mrs. Ederlina R. Pundan, (January
2009 to present).
